Aberavon Documentary Premiere

Join us at Aberavon RFC to watch the Premiere of the Aberavon Heritage Documentary Film on Wednesday 29 May, from 7pm until 9.30pm.

With support and funding from the Big Lottery, Aberavon Wizards have brought together their own ‘Time Team’ at the Talbot Athletic Ground.

The project was supported by community organisations, NPTCBC, NPT Library Services, all four secondary schools and a team of voluntary archivists from among the club’s supporters, the ‘Time Team’, aims to bring together the entire community.

The project which is backed by Heritage Lottery Wales funding and the expertise of local, not for profit organisation A2B Active Sport Community Interest Company, is bringing all the skill sets available in the town together to deliver the project.

St Joseph’s School & 6th Form Centre, Ysgol Bae Baglan, Ysgol Cwm Brombil, and Ysgol Bro Dur will all come together to deliver a 20 minute film documentary which former Wizards favourite and BBC Wales Sport’s ‘Man in the Van’ Sean Holley, will help script, film, edit and direct with pupils from all 4 schools.

A2B Active Sport CIC will coordinate the delivery of this documentary, alongside a fully researched written history, an interactive iBook for schools, a comprehensive curriculum linked teaching resource pack and a film premiere for release of the documentary.

Please join us at what will be an insightful and inspiring piece of media created by our very own local schools.
