Happy New Year Everyone!
If you were unlucky not to witness our last game of 2009 against Neath,
you missed a real 'Christmas Cracker'! A game that had everything from
yellow and red cards, three penalty tries, some old fashioned fisticuffs
and Aberavon leading on numerous occasions, only to loose out on a ninth
minute injury time try to go down 36 - 33 at The Gnoll. We hope that our
side will continue to play with the same spirit for the remainder of the
season and we would really appreciate seeing more of the Former Players at
our games.
From the photograph above it can be seen that our last reunion was another
success and we intend to get together this season at our home match
against... Cardiff on Saturday 3rd April 2010 ...meeting
at 1pm for a 2:30pm kick off.
Once again we need to cover the costs of the marquee and the catering, so
we would greatly appreciate your reply in order to have an indication of
the numbers attending and also to receive your subscriptions to The
Association.
Former Players' Tie Update
The Former Players' tie is currently in production and will be available
to purchase at a cost of £10 from either myself of at the Reunion on the
3rd April. The design was difficult to choose but it has our traditional
colours and is very much in keeping with our current strip.
