Jamie Davies on Local Talent

We are very lucky at this time to have some young local boys in the squad. Jacob Flynn, Luke Davies have both been regulars in the Aberavon squads of late, not so long ago they were playing for Aberavon Quins.

Since coming to Aberavon both have excelled massively. Jacob has gained a Welsh 7’s cap, and Luke is probably one of the best if not the best hooker in the premiership.

JTR is another one. Joe is a Aberavon Green Stars boy. He has represented the Osprey in several of their ‘A’ games and has had another excellent season. How he hasn’t had a regional contract is beyond me. But their loss is our gain.

It is important that we keep a strong relationship with all the clubs in the Aberavon area, and we will always be on the look out for the next Wizard to join the ranks.

We are very proud of the fact that when a young player comes to us he will become a better player for it, because of the work done by the coaches and the quality of the players he will be mixing with.
