The Wizards are pleased to announce that the signing of young hooker Llew Taylor.
18 year-old Taylor, son of former Wales and British and Irish Lions centre Mark Taylor, signs for the Wizards from the Scarlets Academy.
It is hoped that Taylor follows in the footsteps of flanker Jac Morgan, who was another player that was released by the Scarlets Academy to only end up a major signing for the Wizards.
Notably, Jac Morgan went on to play in the Junior World Cup for Wales U20s in Argentina following regular rugby at Aberavon RFC.
Taylor who has already gained Wales U16 and Wales U18 caps will be hoping for much more.
“My goals are develop myself as much as possible on an individual basis and also help the team when called upon,” said Taylor.
The young hooker will join two quality hookers in Ieaun Davies and Luke Davies, who both are incredible players to gain experience from.
Additionally, Taylor will receive the best positional coaching in the Premiership from Forwards Coach Marc Breeze. Aberavon RFC is the best place for Llew Taylor right now.
“It is a really exciting club with good history and one that I feel I can develop at.
The coaches spoke highly of the environment and the attacking rugby that gets played.
It is a great opportunity for myself,” added Llew.
Come and see Llew Taylor in action when the Wizards take on Llandovery in a pre-season friendly at the Talbot Athletic Ground on Thursday 29 August.
