Rhys Thomas becomes a Wizard

The Wizards make their second signing, Loose-Head Prop, Rhys Thomas from Llanelli.

Rhys will certainly add power to the already strong front-row with stalwart Rowan Jenkins leading the way up front.

The Penalty Try was joint highest try scorer this season next to Winger Stefan Andrews.

Neath born Thomas played 198 games for Llanelli and scored 9 tries.

Thomas certainly is relishing the prospect of joining the Wizards.

“I have such respect for Aberavon in regards to how the players would play and the support the team would always receive from their supporters.

I am looking forward to a new challenge and it will be great to be involved with a club with such strong family values,” said Thomas.

The motivation for the 28 year-old prop is to ensure that he gets continual game time.

“My goals for this year would be to be a well recognised face within the match day squad whilst improving my game.

Also, of course helping in every way possible to make sure the club achieves the goals set out at the beginning of the season,” added Rhys.
