Biography
Aled signed in the summer of 2019 from Carmarthen Quins for whom he scored 203 Premiership points in 2018-19..He had three spells at the Scarlets scoring 311 points in 79 games in 2004-05; 61 points in seven games from 2011 to 2014 and 152 points in 46 games from 2015 to 2017. For the Dragons he scored 109 points in 44 games from 2005 to 2008 and also appeared for London Welsh, Gloucester and more recently Carmarthen Quins where he was also on the coaching staff. He scored 11 points in his Barbarians appearance against Heriot’s FP and also was a Wales Sevens player, scoring the winning try in the IRB World Sevens final of 2009. He gained his first Wales under-18 cap in 2002 playing with the skipper Chris Davies in a 62-7 win in Brussels. The pair were also together in the 2003 Under-19 World Cup in France and Aled also played in that Cup in South Africa the following year. He is a quantity surveyor who has also appeared for Crawshay’s Welsh, Cross Keys, Newport, Llanelli, Narberth, St Clears and Wales under-21s. He schooled at Ysgol Gyfun Bro Myrddin in Carmarthen.
