Ashley Beck was a classy centre who began in mini-rugby for Skewen and from the age of 11 to 16 at Tonmawr. He was educated at Dwr-y-Felin Comprehensive School in Neath and gained Wales under-16 caps in 2006 against Italy and England, scoring a try in the latter game. In 2007 and 2008 he added Wales under-18 caps while attending Neath and Port Talbot College. He made his senior debut with Aberavon, being an instant success and making 63 appearances and scoring 25 tries, proving a highly popular player before he joined the Ospreys. Wales under-20s caps followed in 2009 and 2010 and he made his senior Wales debut on tour to Australia in 2012. He scored tries against Samoa in 2012 and Tonga in 2013, but missed the tour of Japan in 2013 through injury after being selected and further injury to an ankle halted his 2014-15 season. He joined Worcester Warriors for the 2018-2019 season.
