Fill in some stuff here about Joe Gage. Formerly with Bridgend Athletic, David’s early days at Aberavon saw him battle with Chris Morgans for the scrum half job and despite at least half a dozen operations on his leg, he was finally operated on by former Wales lock Stuart Roy and roared back into fop form, making him not only a regular try-scorer, but possibly the best scrum half in the Premiership. He is immensely strong and a great harrier of his opposite number around the scrums while also possessing great speed with the ball in hand. He was the Aberavon Player of the Year in 2012 having scored 11 tries that season. However, he suffered a broken arm against Pontypridd (home) in September 2018, just when he was hitting top form. But, he again bounced back to make his 250th appearance against Swansea on May 8, 2019.
