A local boy who will get better in the next few seasons, though he has already fitted in well, no matter where he appears. Joe began at Ystalyfera Grammar School and moved on to Abercrave, Neath and Port Talbot College gaining caps for Wales at under-16, under-18 (with a debut in Poland(!) against Scotland in 2014) and then under-20 caps in 2015 and 2016, scoring tries in the 2016 Junior World Cup against New Zealand and Scotland. He played in 16 of the Principality Premiership games in 2015-16, but suffered a bad injury in 2017. Nobody will forget his fine game as outside half in the win over Merthyr in January 2019.
