Biography

Joe may have been a local boy, but it was an outstanding performance in a Swansea shirt at the Talbot Athletic Ground that turned many heads. He made his Wales under-18 debut in 2012 and toured South Africa, coming off the bench against France at Belville.  In the 2019-2020 season he gained all the Aberavon club honours, including Player of the Year and Player’s Player. He became club captain in 2019-20 and 2020-2021 (though Covid prevented play) and again in 2021-22, but in the latter season he suffered an injured ankle in training that led to an operation in September 2021. Joe is young enough to have many good years still ahead of him.
