On behalf of all the players, coaching staff and bar staff I would like to wish all Aberavon RFC supporters and sponsors a very Happy Christmas, The year has flown by, this time last year we were heading for lockdown so at least this year we can hopefully all enjoy a normal Christmas as well as some rugby to look forward too at Bridgend on Boxing Day.
With the Llandovery game postponed we will head for Bridgend in second place after the recent excellent win against Cardiff which was their first league defeat of the season. So it’s all to play for with two home games during January against Swansea (7/1) and Pontypridd (28/1). Please note that the away fixture against Llanelli on the 14/1 has been rearranged for Saturday 11/3.
The clubhouse will be open as usual during the Christmas and New Year with Sharan organising lots of different events during the period as usual, my sincere thanks go to her and all the bar staff for all their work.
Once again this year Aberavon RFC have arranged the installation of the Christmas Trees and Lights for the town, there were lots of individual donations and company donations so many thanks to everyone who contributed.
A big thank you for their help at very short notice goes to Elachi Express on Station Rd for agreeing to supply power to the signage – many thanks gents as that was a huge help.
So from all the staff, myself and Mair have a great Christmas with Best Wishes for 2023.
