Aberavon RFC has once again volunteered to arrange the installation and removal of the Christmas trees and street decorations for Port Talbot Town Centre including both Station Road and Forge Road.
Like everything else these days, costs are escalating and once again, we have had to purchase new lights to replace our older, worn out decorations. This year, costs will be well in excess of £10,000 including the purchase of a Christmas Tree for the Civic Square, electrical installation and removal, insurance costs and replacement lights.
We are appealing to local businesses to help us reach this target. We fully understand that the economic climate is very difficult at present but we do hope you can find a way of supporting us and giving the children of the town something to enjoy at this special time of year.
The installation will take place week commencing 20th November to coincide with Viva Port Talbot’s planned Christmas parade on Saturday 25th November.
We hope you will be able to support us this year. For those companies who do, there are advertisement opportunities at both The Hub and the Civic Square and your contributions will be confirmed on our website.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further details. Thank you for your support.
