We are sad to learn of the death of our former wing Rob Fleay who has passed away whilst aboard on holiday this week.
Rob played for Aberavon for two seasons in 1968 -1970 scoring 35 tries – he played in the combined Aberavon Neath side that played South Africa at Aberavon in 1969.
He left to play Rugby League in 1970 where he scored 88 tries in over 200 games for Swinton.
He very kindly donated his framed shirt from the South Africa game to us which is proudly displayed in the Aberavon clubhouse bar today.
