Biography

Rowan was educated at Coedcae Comprehensive School and Coleg Sir Gar and was in the Wales under-16 squad without gaining a cap, but then playing for Felinfoel and the Scarlets young age teams, He was capped by Wales at under-18 level in 2009. He has developed into one of the best-ever Aberavon loose-head props and is a great favourite of the club supporters. He can run quite fast with the ball as his brilliant try at Cardiff in March 2019 showed and is another ‘Mighty Mouse’. His 200^th game saw him receive a yellow card against Carmarthen Quins (away) on 22/4/2017. He won the Club Player of the Year and the Player’s Player awards in 2015. He was called in by Cardiff Blues to play one game in 2020 for their ‘A’ team and is now Aberavon’s Club groundsman. His nickname is ‘Dinky’.
