Biography

Stefan began with Tonmawr as a scrum half in Division 1 West, but in seasons 2010-11 and 2011-12 he scored 17 Premier Division tries for them, mostly from the wing, including two at the TAG when they surprised Aberavon. In the summer of 2012 coach Simon King signed him and he soon began scoring tries from the left wing. He was loaned to Tata for a few games and scored twice in the Championship, but soon bounced back with the ‘Wizards’.  However, Merthyr pounced to sign him for the 2017-18 season, but after scoring four Premier Division tries by early December, he returned to Aberavon. By the time Covid had seen the fixtures ended, as at 1/8/2021 Stefan had scored 58 tries in 167 appearances for Aberavon with 49 being in the Premiership. On six occasions he scored a brace of tries in a match and on Boxing Day 2016 he scored a hat-trick at home to Neath. Overall for all clubs he had scored 82 tries (including 70 in the Premiership).
